SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP SYLE AND ORGANIZATION PERFORMANCE OF NATIONAL YOUTH SERVICE IN KENYA

Spiritual theorists allude that spiritual leadership endorses efficiency through aiding employees to respond to psychosocial hardships in their work places. Achievement of spiritual leadership positive outcomes in an organization are possible only creation of learning platforms that boost morale and aid in resolving intrinsic and extrinsic challenges in respective work places. Hence, the current study studied the effect of spiritual leadership on organizational performance of National Youth Service in Kenya. The study was based on Fry spiritual leadership. Descriptive research design was applied and primary data sourced through administration of questionnaires. Data was analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistics. Findings are presented in tables. The study depicted positive statistically significant influence of spiritual leadership on organizational performance of National Youth Service in Kenya. The study concluded that the practice of courage, clearness, respect and reciprocity by leadership in NYS stipulated achievement of positive organizational growth. Thus, there is need for embracement of strategies of spiritual leadership styles amongst all stakeholders so as to amplify growth in NYS. Culture of courage and trust should be fully cultivated and practices in state corporations to optimize gains associated with spiritual leadership.
