Abstract

The objective of the study is to investigate the influence of supplier relationship management practices on performance of expanded polystyrene manufacturing firms in Nairobi City County. The target population in this study was 50 respondents compromising of 10 heads of departments in each firm. A structured questionnaire was used for data collection after pilot testing for validity and reliability. The collected data was analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. In analyzing the qualitative data, the study used descriptive statistics using Statistical Package for Social Sciences. Multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the relationship between single dependent variable and several independent variables. The study concludes that supplier evaluation and supplier development  have a positive and significant influence on performance of EPS manufacturing firms in Nairobi City County. The study recommends that further research should be carried out towards the performance of EPS manufacturing firms in Kenya. As such, further research should be conducted to assess other factors not covered in this study that influence performance of EPS manufacturing firms in Nairobi City County.
